WAY OF THE BEAVER
IN CONTROL OF ACHIEVING THE GOAL

  

The new attitude provided by the Spirit of the Squirrel is essential, but there is still some work to be done. Like the squirrel, the beaver is ceaselessly pursuing his goals. What sustains the motivation of the beaver? Mainly it’s the independence to chose the way the goals are accomplished: each beaver decides what task needs to be done to reach the goal to maintain their habitat. Three important aspects characterize the Way of the Beaver:

 

1.    To work in a defined area;

2.    Thoughts, feelings, needs and wishes are treated respectfully and given due consideration;

3.    Growth and development are sustained by accomplishments and challenges.

 

In the business world, it’s the leaders’ duty to sustain a proper environment for their employee’s to conduct their tasks and receive new challenges. This allows them to work at their capacity, independently, and with the utmost motivation. It’s the employee’s duty to be aware of their own skills, applying them to meeting the objectives and taking on new challenges. Rewards are both monetary and self-satisfaction in the accomplishments.
